Professional relationships need two things to succeed. Mutually beneficial transactions, which are like rebar. And, personal connections, which are like concrete. If you just have one or the other, you’re in trouble. Because, concrete alone is going to crack and fade over time. And, rebar by itself is kinda hard to build on. Unfortunately, most companies today have a bunch of rebar sticking out of the ground and wonder why nobody wants to sit on it with them. So, I started The Human Connection Podcast to help scaling companies optimize client success strategies that balance advocacy with revenue growth, build high-retention relationships that drive client satisfaction and stakeholder engagement, and achieve sustainable expansion through proactive relationship management in today's competitive market. In other words, pour some concrete around their rebar. I’ve recorded over 100 episodes since January 2025, and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon. Built and nurtured a diverse creative team for a high-stakes animation project, fostering collaboration that retained the San Jose City Council’s mandate of life-saving firefighting technology in high-rises. After proactively following up a few months later, we updated the content to catalyze expansion to 18 other cities and contributed to a $100M IP sale. 🔶 Retained at-risk client through strategic crisis management, leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful campaign despite major stakeholder departure. Retained La Familia as a client while collaborating on their anti-Fentanyl campaign. Mid-project, a major stakeholder resigned, requiring a massive scope pivot. The project was at risk of collapse. But because of my strategic planning, I explained how we could adapt and achieve their goals. I directed production and project management while the production team saved two lives through Narcan administration during a new on-site shoot. The final campaign was successfully deployed regionwide. 🔶 Translated highly technical product value into revenue-driving outcomes decision-makers understood Developed a trusted partnership with Enovix's leadership team, deeply understanding their battery innovations to help them distill a 45-minute technical explanation into a compelling data-driven 2-minute story. Through cross-functional collaboration, we supported their $1.13B SPAC event and $250M Army contract. I proactively updated multiple stakeholders while navigating unexpected scope changes from their legal department, delivering on time and under budget.
