Exabeam
Senior Director of Design
Sep 2019 - Mar 2024
At Exabeam, Daniel Castro led the product design and user experience strategy during a pivotal phase of growth in the cybersecurity space. His leadership helped position the company as a consistent leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for SIEM four consecutive years, ultimately contributing to Exabeam’s acquisition by LogRhythm in 2024.
Daniel championed a persona-based experience strategy that not only differentiated Exabeam’s ML- and AI-powered platform but was also highlighted in Gartner’s reports as a key innovation in simplifying complex cybersecurity workflows. By aligning design with real-world user needs—from security analysts to CISOs—he helped ensure that the product solved the right problems, for the right people.
His ability to align cross-functional teams across the entire customer journey—spanning Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success—was a catalyst in transforming UX from a support function into a strategic growth driver. This cohesive, customer-centered approach fueled product adoption and helped elevate Exabeam into a top-tier enterprise solution.
